Ferngrove King Malbec 2017

No longer in the shadow of its Bordeaux cousin, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec is shining as a single varietal as this Gold medal-winner shows.
 
In the glass: Very dense inky red black.
On the nose: Heady aromas of violets, cola, cherry and juniper with beautifully perfumed oak in support.
On the palate: An iron fist in a velvet glove with powerful black fruit dominance and full tannic extract. Superb barrel work gives delicious texture, depth and harmony on to the long finish.
