Pepper Tree owner, John Davis, is a geologist, and as most winemakers will tell you it’s all about the soil! The soils of the Orange region are dominated by the extinct volcano Mt Canobolas, perfect for wine.
In the glass: Pale lemon straw.
On the nose: Nectarine, melon, vanilla and honey notes.
On the palate: Rich and creamy with ripe stonefruit, nougat oak and fresh citrussy acidity. Supple and complex with good texture, balance and persistence. Flavoursome yet fine with lovely acidity.
