Woodvale Great Northern Semillon 2014

Semillon is the unsung white variety of Clare. This wine demonstrates how good it can be as an alternative to the more famous Rieslings from the area.
 
In the glass: Pale to medium lemon.
On the nose: Citrus, stonefruit, lemon butter and toasty oak.
On the palate: Full-bodied with a bright core of citrus and toasty cashew oak. Still fresh and bright with well-judged oak, bright acidity and creamy with a quinine-like texture.
