Calling all food and wine lovers to our March events in Sydney, this is your month to get amongst the carefully curated menus put together by renowned chefs, to treat your taste buds to the flavours of Burgundy and beyond, and to take your wine appreciation to a new level. DINNER WITH DARREN ROBERTSON | Rosebery
Join Darren Robertson at Three Blue Ducks Rosebery for a special Selector Magazine Dinner Event on Thursday 14 of March. The UK-born chef and restaurateur will serve up four delicious courses that embody his wholesome coastal cuisine ideology, all partnered with a range of exquisite Australian wines. Starting with oysters and sea greens paired with By Jingo Nastro d'Argento Blanc de Blancs NV, the evening will showcase Darren’s prestige and pedigree, reflecting his paddock to plate philosophy. The finale features berries, yoghurt ice-cream, fennel and macadamia crunch, as well as blue cheese and honeycomb, served with a glass of Tulloch Creme de Vin NV. This event will sell out quickly!
THE ART OF WINE TASTING | Woollahra
If you’re just starting to entertain your palate with all the wonderful colours, sights and smells of wine, this fun, interactive class is for you. Learn the basics of wine, including the art of how to see, smell and taste your favourite drop, plus discover the many characters of wine on the flavour wheel. Through hands-on wine tastings, blind tastings and interactive presentations, you will also get to learn how to tune your senses and taste like an expert. Invite your friends and join our Wine Educator and Wine Selectors Tasting Panel member for an afternoon of wine fun.
BURGUNDY & BEYOND DINNER | Chippendale
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection and Selector invite you to join us for a celebration of the iconic tastes and flavours of two of the great gastronomic and vinous regions of France, Burgundy and the Rhône. This decadent dinner experience is hosted by Bistrot Gavroche, a restaurant where guests can enjoy the ambience of one of Sydney’s beautiful old rum warehouses, which has been reimagined to evoke a timeless, traditional French bistro atmosphere. On this multi-course, culinary journey Bistrot Gavroche’s chef, Frederic Colin, has created a menu that pays homage to the unique styles and ingredients Burgundy and Provence are renowned for, paired with premium Australian and French wines.
THE ART OF WINE APPRECIATION | Woollahra
Discover your inner wine judge as you learn the subtle art of expert wine appreciation in an afternoon of wine tastings, assessment exercises and interactive presentations. You’ll take your love of wine to another level as you taste and explore many different Australian wine varieties; learn how to assess a wine’s characteristics and discuss the aromas and flavours of a wine, just like an expert does. We’ll guide you through how to identify wine faults and have some fun with wine options games too. Hosted by our Wine Educator and a member of the Wine Selectors Tasting Panel, it is an afternoon guaranteed to reveal to you a whole new world of wine in a fun and approachable way.
CHEESE & WINE MASTERCLASS | Sydney
Back by popular demand, Wine Selectors invites you to join us on a delicious journey with some of the world’s best cheeses paired perfectly with wine at our Cheese & Wine Masterclass! We’ve sourced some of the best cheeses from around the globe to taste alongside the finest Australian examples, and all matched to stunning Australian and international wines. Join us on Saturday 11th May at the newly refurbished Toxteth Hotel on Glebe Point Rd from 2pm-5pm.
