Nannup Estate Rolling Hills Tempranillo 2016

The Spanish call Tempranillo their answer to Cabernet Sauvignon. Great Tempranillo like this always has a tannin backbone that helps support the intense body of black fruit and will allow it to age with grace.
 
In the glass: Deep dark red.
On the nose: Dark cherry, raspberry and dried herb aromas.
On the palate: Medium weight, dry and savoury – true to style with bitter cherry intensity, some cola, vanilla, herb and spice notes, grainy tannin texture and fresh, drying acidity.
