Reminiscent of its Alsace homeland, the grapes were given more ‘hang time’ for richer fruit and higher alcohol, then partial wild yeast fermentation and old-oak maturation for texture and complexity.
In the glass: Medium straw.
On the nose: Lifted pear, apricot and musk.
On the palate: True to the Gris style, it’s juicy with a gorgeous texture, featuring characters of ripe pear, stonefruit and musk. Mouth-watering acidity leads to a chalky finish.
