The 864 on the label is simply the address of one of the Yarra’s most famous Chardonnays – 864 Maroondah Highway.
In the winery: All grapes were hand harvested and sorted prior to whole bunch pressing directly to French oak puncheons for natural fermentation.
In the glass: Bright medium lemon green.
On the nose: Expressive sourdough, fresh lime, stonefruit, roast nuts and flint.
On the palate: Fresh with loads of flavour from start to finish showing as white peach, nectarine and barbequed lime, delicious flinty minerality, cashew and ginger complexity, mouth-watering acidity and beautiful charry deluxe oak.
