Winner of three Trophies and a Gold at the NSW Wine Awards, the fruit for this wine is sourced from the vines planted by the great Maurice O’Shea.
In the winery: The Old Hill and Old Paddock parcels were picked and crushed, then racked to a combination of small and large, new and old French oak.
In the glass: Full red purple.
On the nose: Plum, black cherry, mulberry, pepper, clove and star anise.
On the palate: Medium weight with lovely texture and a fine mix of savoury red and black fruit, leather, spice and pepper complexity. Fine dry tannins and quality oak in support.
