Catherine Vale Wines is located in the Broke Forwich region of the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Australia. Catherine Vale Wines has been producing wines under the Catherine Vale label since its first vintage in 1997. Initially, only the iconic Hunter varieties; Semillon and Chardonnay grapes were grown however, following in 1998, Verdelho grapes were grafted as were Dolcetto and Barbera. In 2002, 850 Semillon vines were grafted to Verdelho and in 2008 Arneis was grafted onto existing Chardonnay. Catherine Vale wines also produce Madeira from the first Verdelho vines grafted in 1998. Catherine Vale remains the Hunter Valleys only grower of Dolcetto to this date.
Catherine Vale Cellar Door
The cellar door building was built in the style of an Australian country church. Here you can enjoy tastings and engage in a fun game of Bocce on the recreational courts.
