Keith Tulloch's wines are hand-made with meticulous care, epitomising the characters of small-batch, ultra-premium wines in classic styles. Since starting the winery in 1997, Keith and his family have been independently crafting wines that embody style, finesse and personality.
What has been your greatest personal achievement as a winemaker?
Keith Tulloch: The vintage of 2011 produced spectacular fruit, particularly for red wine. We produced six different kinds of Shiraz, all with their own unique personality. 'The Doctor' 2011 Shiraz that I made with my father, Dr Harold Tulloch, is a wine that is both a personal and professional achievement for me.
What is the most important aspect of wine to you?
Keith Tulloch: The true essence of wine is people. Not just the people who drink the wine, but also the people it brings together, and the occasions that classic wines inspire. That's why we aim to give many of our wines the longest cellaring potential we can - because nothing brings people together like a great aged bottle of wine.
