Coonawarra
Leconfield has been one of Coonawarra’s most famous wineries since 1974. Built in 1974 by Sydney Hamilton, the limestone winery building has an impressive barrel storage of 2000 barrels, predominantly sourced from France. The estate is planted on the region’s famous ‘terra rossa’ strip and is looked after by viticulturist Bendt Rasmussen, while the wines are crafted by local talents Paul Gordon and Tim Bailey. On the current Leconfield portfolio is beautifully earthy Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as Riesling, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot.
