Saperavi is a variety that hails from Georgia. It is not widely planted in Australia but it makes deeply-coloured and robust wines similar to Malbec or Cabernet.
Opaque and powerful crimson. Inky and brooding nose of fresh prune, chocolate cake, and toasty oak. Fresh and vibrant black cherry cola entry, with assertive yet supple tannins, terrific balance with mouth-filling richness, and a long, powerful finish.
