According to the Tasting Panel, this Chardonnay certainly has no shortage of flavour and one for those who love traditional expressions of the style with plenty of oak.
In the winery: The fruit came from two vineyards at altitudes of 680 and 750 metres.
In the glass: Pale gold.
On the nose: Dense, creamy and complex with ripe yellow fruit, sweet oak and nutty lees.
On the palate: Full-flavoured with rich, strongly varietal peach and apricot fruit sweetness with a buttered popcorn-like complexity. The oak is toasty and strong yet well integrated with a really creamy texture.
