Coriole Sangiovese Shiraz 2017

Coriole Vineyards have been the masters of Sangiovese in the Mclaren Vale since 1985 and this wine clearly demonstrates why.
 
Matched with Coriole chef Tom Tilbury's pork belly with lentils, leek cooked in herb paste and Coriole aged vinegar in the 2019 Wine Selectors Calendar.
 
In the glass: Bright dark red.
On the nose: Fresh red and dark berry fruit lift with hints of white pepper.
On the palate: Lifted plum and raspberry fruit with hints of dried herb and pepper. Sweetly spiced with a sensuous texture and a dry and savoury finish. Both varieties work extremely well together.
