As vigneron Steve Wiblin points out, the Clare originally built its reputation on its reds, especially Shiraz, which was often blended with Malbec, like this stunner.
Inky dark red. Sweet plummy fruit lift with toasty oak. Concentrated and very flavoursome with ripe, jubey plum and mulberry fruit and chocolatey oak, notes of iodine, espresso and wood smoke, firm tannins and plenty of toasty oak. A monster.
