It's not often see Australian Sangiovese that shows the same level as tannin depth as their Italian counterparts, however this one from Nugan nails the brief.
Deep garnet colour. Cherry, blackberry, tobacco, clove and orange rind. Bold, deep and savoury with masses of red and black fruit, varietal ferrous tannins, and touches of charcuterie and kitchen spice and charry oak to finish. A lovely example.
