Merlot is sometimes perceived as a bit of an underdog, but wines like this show that the perception is misguided. A delicious example of the variety as a stand-alone wine.
Medium to deep red purple. Ripe dark berries and fruits, mint and chocolate. Medium to full-bodied with savoury dusty tannins under a core of black cherry, plum and mulberry, hints of allspice, herbs and graphite, good length and varietal character.
