Pikes Il Premio Sangiovese 2020

From Pikes’ Polish Hill Estate. The highest point of the vineyard is 450 metres, with warm to hot days, but cool nights. Soils are a mix of red clay loam, and black slate.
Youthful dark red. Spicy red berry and fresh herbs. Fresh cherry and raspberry with hints of sarsaparilla and liquorice in a medium-weight yet quite intense style, with vibrant red berry and acidity and savoury persistence. A lovely example of the variety.
