Mencia is an alternative variety that originates from the Bierzo region in north-western Spain, and is extremely rare in Australia. A fresh joven style.
Deep purple. Dark berries, bramble, crushed herbs, red petals and amaro. Full-bodied, with a generous core of red and purple fruit, fine yet grippy tannins, crunchy acidity, and hints of raspberry coulis and cassis adding another dimension.
