KIM, SELECTOR MAGAZINE ART DIRECTOR

“My favourite recipe is Colin Fassnidge’s chicken bread. I got to try this at our Selector November/December cover shoot with Colin last year, and it completely blew my mind. ”

Essentially, you roast a chicken on top of this herby, buttery, garlicky sourdough bread that soaks up all of the roast chicken juices (while staying crispy around the edges) and creates the most delicious garlic bread you could ever imagine.

- Kim, Selector Magazine Art Director

"Try it for your next Sunday roast, and prepare to have your taste buds blown!"

Wine pairing: “Being so rich and buttery, it naturally pairs perfectly with a Chardonnay.”

LISA, EVENTS MANAGER

"Lamb is one of my favourite meats and mixed with Middle Eastern hummus, eggplant and all the spice and flavours, this is a heavenly combination for me."

Good quality Merlot is making quite a comeback I think and deservedly so. Also my favourite red, Pinot Noir – specifically Tassie Pinot!

- Lisa, Events Manager

Wine Pairing: "Merlot is a great match for this dish with its subtle sweetness."

ADAM, WINE BUYER, TASTING PANEL CO-CHAIR, WINE SHOW JUDGE, 2019 LEN EVANS TUTORIAL DUX

“I love the simple nature of Risotto and I enjoy the challenge of making it perfectly. I always feel I can make it better each time."

This recipe features fennel and asparagus which are two of my favourite vegetables. It is a fabulous weekend lunch dish!

- Adam, Wine Buyer, Tasting Panel Co-Chair

Wine pairing: “The subtle flavours of the Pinot G allow to flavours of the vegetables to be front and centre while the wine acidity helps to contrast the creamy texture of the rich cheese.”

JULIAN, PRODUCT COORDINATOR

I love this pork rib recipe as it’s so packed with flavour, fragrance and spice.

- Julian, Product Coordinator

"Making it a fantastic dish to pair with a range of wines that have a measure of fruit sweetness. I’d avoid wines that are overly tannic as they will clash and accentuate any chilli heat”'

Wine Pairing: “A slightly off-dry Riesling is a great choice for those who prefer a white, but for me, it has got to be a Pinot Noir or Grenache. A match made in heaven.”

BREELY, PRODUCT SPECIALIST

“For me, this recipe is the perfect mix of fresh and punchy – the freshness of the Kingfish, mixed with the zesty flavours of citrus and ginger."

It’s the perfect summer evening dish, although I enjoy this kind of food all year round.

- Breely, Product Specialist

Wine pairing: “The Kingfish pairs perfectly with a super-dry Riesling, and maybe a few fresh oysters on the side and some great company to enjoy it with. It doesn't get much better!
