Bay of Fires
From the picturesque Bay of Fires cellar door you can see vineyards from every window, making this a wine lover’s dream destination. Adding to the attraction, you’ll discover three distinct labels to taste, and while each is unique in its style and philosophy, they’re united in their reflection of the local terroir.
Start with the gorgeous Bay of Fires Pinot Noir, then experience the novel approach to Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir under the Eddystone Point label. And topping off the tasting is an opportunity to experience the talents of Australia's most awarded Sparkling winemaker, Ed Carr with a flight of exceptional premium Sparkling wines from the renowned House of Arras.

Dalrymple Vineyards
Dalrymple is a small winery located in Pipers River of Tamar Valley. Led by Vigneron and Winemaker, Peter Caldwell, Dalrymple Vineyards is a specialist Pinot Noir producer which captures the best that Tasmania has to offer. While Dalrymple doesn’t have a wine room you can arrange a tasting by appointment, simply call or email wineroom@dalrymplevineyards.com.au 48 hours prior to your visit.

Josef Chromy
Josef Chromy is one of the pioneers of Tasmanian food and wine whose commitment to his adopted state is so complete he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia. Having established top wineries including Rochecombe, Jansz and Heemskerk, Josef Chromy eventually founded a winery under his own name, drawing on everything he’d learnt over the years.
Set in the property’s original 1880s homestead, the Josef Chromy cellar door is surrounded by beautiful gardens and offers breathtaking views over vineyards and lakes. Visit in winter and snuggle in beside the open log fire, and in any season, enjoy lunch in the hatted Josef Chromy Restaurant where you’ll savour a menu full of local produce paired with the divine range of cool climate Sparkling, Aromatic Whites, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Pipers Brook
Pipers Brook Vineyard crafts an outstanding line-up of cool-climate wines that encapsulate the unique environment of the Tamar Valley. Visit their cellar door for the opportunity to taste the Pipers Brook range, as well as Kreglinger and Ninth Island, all made from estate-grown fruit. At the café, the ideal spot for a light lunch, you’ll find a seasonal menu proudly featuring locally sourced ingredients.
You can also settle in for the night at the Pipers Brook Villa, a two-bedroom oasis offering beautiful morning views of the estate vineyards. Campervan travellers are welcome too, just give the Pipers Brook team a call to book your free spot in their secure onsite RV parking.

Holm Oak Vineyards
Holm Oak is the labour of love of dynamic duo, Bec Duffy and her husband Tim Duffy. Since 2006 they have followed their dream of crafting delicious expressions of cool-climate Tasmanian wines. Their cellar door exudes an irresistible rustic charm. Bec is the winemaker and Tim is viticulturist. Their complementary skills provide a vision to produce delicious wines that reflect their home, Tasmania’s pristine Tamar Valley, and their own personalities – honest, down to earth, genuine and authentic. There is an extensive range of wines on offer at cellar door ranging from light, dry aromatic wines, light and full bodied reds and sweeter styles. On offer, is also a more immersive in depth tasting flight of 4 wines which varies depending on availability.
North of Launceston, set on the western bank of the charming Tamar River, you’ll find Tamar Ridge Winery. The cellar door is a tasting haven featuring the complete range of both Tamar Ridge and Pirie Sparkling wines. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to sample one or two ‘hidden treasure’ cellar door exclusive wines.
Following the tasting, tuck into a mouth-watering platter put together by Hubert and Dan, local chefs, who source regional cheeses and charcuterie as well as cure their own fish to create a Tamar Valley and Tasmanian culinary celebration. A must-visit destination, the Tamar Ridge restaurant offers elegance and innovation in a contemporary setting.
