The Accolades Continue for Château Tanunda!
A huge congratulations goes out to Château Tanunda for taking out the Best Australian Producer of the Year award at the 2019 Berliner Wein Trophy.
The accolades continue for this iconic Barossa Valley winery, winning this coveted award for the ninth time in 10 years with an incredible 11 Gold medals from the 18 wines submitted to the show for judging.
The Berliner Wine Trophy has become Germany’s most important and largest international wine show and was presented just days ago at the 2019 ProWein trade event in Dusseldorf.
This year’s show saw 7000 entries tasted from 1426 wineries across 41 different countries, with 200 expert judges tasting for over a week and awarding Gold medals to fewer than 28 per cent of entries.

Their Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Grand Reserve 2009 is their first Gold Medal winning Château Tanunda sparkling wine, while the Grand Barossa Shiraz 2018, continued a great tradition of winning a Gold Medal at an international wine show for every vintage since 2006.
