HALDON ESTATE WINES

Haldon Estate is a very small family run business, established in 2009 by Tracey Richards and Ranald Currie. Blending the latest winemaking knowledge with traditional techniques, they create exceptional wines characteristic of this beautiful region.

Haldon’s organically managed vines feature Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Nebbiolo, Cabernet, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

THE OX AND HOUND BISTRO

Ideally located in Beechworth’s main street, The Ox and Hound Bistro occupies a quintessential shopfront and offers a relaxed vibe.

Chef and owner Sean Ford is fuelled by an obsession with rustic French and Italian cooking, so expect to find local heroes including farmed trout, wild rabbit, pork sausage, goat, nuts, quinces and chestnuts. Foraged foods also feature; yabbies, blackberries, morels, pine mushrooms, slippery jacks, stinging nettle and watercress – all found around Beechworth.

Sean’s considered and easy-to-follow wine list showcases local wines and some greats from Italy and France.

ELDORADO ROAD WINES

The Eldorado Road Cellar Door ~ Cantina is a hidden oasis right on the main street of Beechworth. Behind the brick wall is their beautiful heritage courtyard and bespoke tasting room. Find a seat in the cool shade of the tortured willow or in front of the cosy open fire.

From November, Eldorado Road Wines will grow to include the beautiful adjoining Coach House shop front. With this will come a food offering that champions local produce and a unique charcoal fire pit.

The goal is to create elegant, bright, restrained wines that reflect their home at the foot of the mountains in beautiful North East Victoria.
