Generations ago winemakers in the south of France discovered that including a small portion of white grapes in a red ferment deepened the colour and added complexity.
Deep red colour. Plum conserve, mocha and floral perfumes. Layered and deeply-flavoured, with grunty yet fine tannins driving the black and purple fruit core, notes of charcuterie and earth, balanced toasty oak and a supple finish.
