Winemaker Richard Leask crafts some of the best wines in McLaren Vale, and although focussing on emerging varieties, he also excels at the classics.
Deep, dark red. Very concentrated aromas of spiced plum and toasty oak. Palate shows an immense core of spicy black and purple fruit, with deep tannins, vibrant acidity, and chocolatey oak in balance with the fruit. Would benefit from decanting.
