This wine honours renowned viticulturist and long-time supporter of Houghton, Dr John Gladstone. John was one of the most important viticultural researchers in WA wine history.
Deep red. Powerful aromas of charcuterie, liquorice, cassis and toasty oak. Very rich and full-bodied, with massive black fruit saturation, notes of amaro and black pepper, firm tannins, and a long, savoury finish. A meal in a glass.
