Although Coonawarra is justifiably famous for its Cabernet, there is some amazing Merlot produced there too, as this deliciously satisfying example shows.
Medium to deep red. Ripe dark cherry, plum, chocolate and cedar aromas. Medium to full-bodied with a bright core of red fruit, background layers of leaf and briar, quality charry oak, ripe tannins and a long, bright finish. Very flavoursome.
