Tyrrell's Special Release Shiraz Pinot Noir 2018

"This is a modern interpretation of the great Hunter River Burgundies!" Bruce Tyrrell.
 
In the winery: Matured for 11 months in large format French oak barriques
(5% new) to highlight the fruit purity.
In the glass: Bright medium ruby.
On the nose: Blackberry, dark cherry, pepper and clove.
On the palate: Unashamedly light to medium weight with savoury tannin foundation driving the core of red and black fruit with bright acidity and a mouth-watering finish.
