The William Downie wines are crafted with minimal intervention, with each of them made from Pinot Noir, this one with fruit from Upper Goulburn and Mornington Peninsula.
Pale ruby. Pomegranate, raspberry, dark cherry and five spice. Light-bodied, pure and graceful with a bright mix of red and blue fruit, touches of spice and grape stalk, crunchy acidity and a juicy finish. A very drinkable and Beaujolais-like wine.
