Giant Steps is recognized as a global benchmark for cool climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Located near Healesville in Victoria’s Yarra Valley and established in 1998, the winery estate was identified by founder Phil Sexton as having the ideal growing locations to produce exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Chief winemaker Steve Flamsteed (Gourmet Traveller Wine 'Winemaker of the Year' 2016) joined Giant Steps in 2003, and the pair created a range of wines that truly personifies the region’s cool climate and terroir. The Giant Steps Single Vineyard range is produced from the most site-expressive fruit off the best vineyards in great years with limited production and some vineyards producing as few as 200 cases.
Today, Giant Steps is regarded as one of the most reputable and progressive wineries in Australia and their wines are amongst the most anticipated, benchmark releases from the Yarra Valley each year.
