Hanging Rock
Hanging Rock Winery has been producing wines of distinction for over 30 years. It’s the largest in the Macedon Ranges, with their cellar door boasting an extensive award-winning range that showcases their own estate wines and others made from premium grapes from the best regions in Victoria.
While you’re there, treat yourself to a gourmet picnic box or cheeseboard, choose a spot on their deck and take in the iconic backdrop of their vineyard, Hanging Rock and Mount Macedon – it’s the perfect way to while away the afternoon.

Granite Hills
This family owned vineyard and winery is situated on the north eastern aspect of the Macedon Ranges wine region, 85 kilometres north of Melbourne. Perched atop the spectacular boulder strewn hills of the Great Dividing Range at an altitude of 550 metres, the view over Granite Hills vineyard and of central Victoria beyond, immediately gives you the impression of something quite special.
Trail blazers of viticulture and winemaking in what is statistically Australia’s coolest wine region, Granite Hills has celebrated success way beyond its size, winning more than 500 awards in Australian and international competitions.
Wines currently on tasting include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Late Harvest Riesling, Pinot Noir, Gamay Noir, Merlot, Tempranillo, The Gordon Cabernet Blend and Shiraz.

Mount Macedon Winery
A visit to the beautiful Macedon Ranges would be incomplete without a stop at the picturesque Mount Macedon Winery. Located on the western slopes of Mount Macedon with panoramic views overlooking the Black Forest Valley, Mount Macedon Winery sits at 680m above sea level, making it one of the highest altitude wineries in Australia.
Mount Macedon Winery boasts some of the region's most diverse cool climate wines including an elegant and spicy Pinot Noir, a full-bodied Chardonnay and their much acclaimed 2017 Sparkling.
For a wonderful afternoon of great wine and great food, often accompanied by live local music, get a group together and enjoy a long lunch in the vines. Or drop in for an entertaining and informative cellar door tasting accompanied by a delicious grazing board of local cheeses and charcuterie. You can even bring your well-behaved pooch along to bask in the sun and enjoy the view from the deck out over the vines.

Cloud 9 Farm
Situated beneath the picturesque Cobaw State Forest, Cloud 9 Farm and cellar door is run by second generation cheesemaker, Jacquie Deeble.
The moment you walk through the cellar door, Jacquie will make you feel right at home sharing her passion for the farm and taking you through a personalised wine tasting. And if you like, she’ll take you on a tour of the winery, where winemaker Alan does his thing.
With the great range of cool climate red wines, cheese, cured meats and preserves all grown and made on the Cloud 9 Farm or locally, you’ll enjoy a true paddock to plate experience.

Cleveland Winery
Located in the historic country township of Lancefield, Cleveland Winery is a must-see if you’re visiting the Macedon Ranges.
The unique underground cellar door is surrounded by rustic antiques and wine bottles creating a classic barrel room ambiance and delivering an indulgent wine tasting experience.
Whether you prefer a full-bodied Shiraz, a chilled Chardonnay or a sparkling Pinot Noir, the Cleveland Winery cellar door offers a wide selection of local expressions including their own wines crafted using fruit from their onsite vineyard.
Don’t miss trying their signature Pinot Noir that is matured in French Oak barrels for three years to allow the traditional characters to be expressed.
Cleveland Winery also has a lovely restaurant and a variety of onsite accommodation, with the beautiful 1880s homestead the focal point of the property.
